ABOUT US

Our History

LTRWC--Your Water System
The regional water system operated by Logan/Todd Regional Water
Commission is your source of abundant high-quality treated water.
While you may have little direct contact with LTRWC, you are the
end beneficiary of all its work. LTRWC sells its water wholesale to
thirteen member utilities who then sell it retail to you. Maintenance of
transmission lines, tanks, pumps, metering stations, and the treatment
plant contributes to the well being of over sixty thousand plus individuals. The
certified laboratory at the plant constantly monitors the treatment
process and the stability of the water in the pipelines. The lab is on
the alert to protect you from nematodes, E. coli, cryptosporidium and
giardia. It offers micro biology testing services to the public and is utilized by member utilities for testing water along their distribution systems. The quality, taste and appearance of our water are excellent. Drink our water, and we
think you will agree.
LTRWC, its member-entities, and employees are good neighbors.
During the drought of 2007, an abundant supply enabled some of
the entities to provide water for crops, livestock and chicken houses.
During the ice storm of 2009, none of the twelve member utilities of
LTRWC were without water. The City of Lewisburg and Todd County
Water District were instrumental in helping their neighbors by passing
our water along to others during that difficult time.

LTRWC-Planning Ahead for You
Citizens of Logan and Todd counties, the City of Oak Grove and Springfield, TN are in a most favored position for the future. While water is desperately needed
by much of the world's population, the supply of treated water offered
by LTRWC is abundant and its quality is excellent. Local citizens laid the
foundation for this regional water project in the nineteen-nineties and
saw it become fully operational in 2003. Contracts between LTRWC
and its member utilities are in place to distribute your water for a
period of fifty years.
The path ahead for LTRWC is dictated by its honorable past and
commitment to these goals for its future: produce a high quality
product, maintain a sound physical plant and durable pipelines,
employ quality personnel to safeguard its commitment and financial
well being.
To this end members of the Logan/Todd Regional Water Commission
serve you, your family, your business, and your community.
